The Kooiman McLean Family: where Scotland and West-Friesland meet. The notorious MacLean Clan [www.maclean.org] goes back many centuries, of course. The first Kooiman [http://www.kistemaker.nl/km/km_frame.html?km018] settled in West-Friesland in the early 1500's. An extended set of pictures is available at kooiman-mclean-pictures.blogspot.com .
Suddenly we had a short spell of winter just after XMas 2005.
It only last a few days, but it was very violent with snow followed by a crippling freezing rain.
